A 1960s icon reimagined for modern driveability and serviceability. This Series 88 was commissioned by a client of ours right in our hometown of Charleston SC.  

The mission, build this 1965 Series 88 into his daily driver. Starting with the foundation we built this 88 on a custom coil sprung chassis with performance suspension, upgraded disc brakes and added power steering. None of which would have been included in this vehicle from the factory in 1965. For a power plant we went with a GM V6 engine paired with a six speed automatic transmission.

We finished the interior in a boot suede leather with a custom center console hiding an audio package controlled through bluetooth so as to not disturb the classic look of the interior. Heated seats were added to get him through the short but often chilly winter here in SC. Our inhouse upholster made custom cushions for the rear wheel wells providing plenty of space for his friends to hop in for a cruise. The rear cargo area was finished in mahogany wood flooring.

Paying homage to his father and his memories of the Camaro he had when he was a child, the body of the vehicle was finished in a 1960s Camaro blue. If you are visiting Charleston keep an eye out for this beauty.
